George’s New Model Railroad Layout Details
George SelliosDescription
Modelers around the world have appreciated George Sellios and Fine Scale Miniatures for his incredibly detailed scale structures, but it wasn’t until 1985 that George finally decided to build his first full HO scale model railroad. A passion for trains and the urge to create has driven George back to the workshop since he was a teenager when he built structures out of recycled cigar boxes, and that love for the railroad will never leave him.
In this segment, George Sellios explains how his process of constructing the latest additions to the Franklin & South Manchester layout was different compared to the techniques he used for constructing the original layout. George discusses his experience of receiving a letter from an individual at Model Railroader, in regards to his model railroad layout and how it made him feel. He wasn’t too thrilled to hear how parts of his layout were over detailed at first, but later came to realize that individual was right. George noticed the parts of his layout that were overly detailed and was determined to make his layout look more natural. See how George transformed his model railroad layout with slightly new details to successfully create a much more natural look!
