In this video, we'll make bushes out of kitchen twine. The twine best suited for this is either flax or hemp. Cut the piece a bit longer than the height of the bush and start to untwist the twine from one end until you feel happy with the branches in your bush. Next is to spray it either with hairspray or some spray glue to get these leaves to stick to the branches. Sprinkle leaves into the wet glue both from top and from underneath until you have a realistic transparency in your foliage. The color of the branches and the trunk can be altered by dipping the twine into a well thinned burnt umber. This will give you a brown look on your bush. If you want also green, you should add some green acrylic paint into this. Make sure to keep it really thin. Once dry it's just to untwist it a bit again and then spray it with spray glue and sprinkling those leaves. With only these three components, you can create a variety in bushes, ivys and trees which is hard to find this ready-made in any hobby shop.
